The main danger is the Fallen Angels - entities that imitate people and appear at distances or through windows. They are presented through scripted encounters rather than free-roaming AI, so your job is to follow the game's cues calmly instead of fighting or outrunning them.
Hiding correctly
- When prompted, turn off the light first - leaving it on draws attention.
- Get into the closet immediately and stay there for the whole sequence.
- During the door-holding minigame, keep clicking the dots; even if you lose, the story continues.
Flashlight discipline
Keep the flashlight aimed where you are walking outdoors, but be ready to point it at a specific target during cutscenes - the camping-trip scene ends with a prompt to shine it on the figure. Reacting quickly there keeps the scene on its intended path.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Ignoring the marker and wandering blindly in the woods.
- Forgetting to turn off the light before hiding.
- Panicking during the closet minigame - losing it is not a game over.
- Missing the flashlight prompt at the end of the camping cutscene.
