How the minigame works
After hiding in the bathroom closet in Chapter 4, dots appear on screen. You click each dot before it disappears to keep holding the door shut against the creature. Miss too many and the door is forced open.
Timing and tips
- The dots accelerate continuously, so early dots are your easy points - do not fumble them.
- Keep your cursor near the center of the screen so travel distance to each dot stays short.
- Play at a high, stable frame rate; lower graphics settings reduce input lag.
- On a wired connection, clicks register more reliably than on shaky Wi-Fi.
What happens if you lose
Losing is not a game over. If the door is forced, the creature moves in to finish you - but it is immediately distracted by the headlights of Chris's returning car, and the story continues. So a loss costs you only the badge, not your progress.
Winning the badge
Clearing the entire dot sequence awards a badge and is widely considered the hardest challenge in Volume 1. Treat it as an optional skill check; it is perfectly fine to fail it and keep playing the story.
