緊急廣播
Volume 1 以一則州級緊急廣播開場，解釋晚上 8:00 宵禁的原因。它描述了 Mulberry County 首次有記錄的 Fallen Angel 目擊事件。
On Friday July 18th, the Mulberry County Police Department received a call from David Brown who reported strange noises from his backyard at 2:37am. Police encountered a large pale creature, approximately 8 feet tall, showing extreme visual and auditory sensitivity. Officer Terry Smith captured a photograph before it fled. All residents are advised to lock doors and secure homes. A state-wide 8:00pm curfew is in effect. This creature is not alone - under no circumstances approach these creatures, which experts now call Fallen Angels.
物理特徵

Spine Columns
遊戲內文件描述了 Spine Columns——由骨骼與有機物質構成的大型柱體，表明附近有 Fallen Angel 活動。
Large pillars of bone and organic matter are strong indicators of nearby humanoids. It is believed that they serve as a disposal point for bodies they no longer need.
「不再需要的身體」這一表述支持 Fallen Angels 寄生使用人類宿主、隨後丟棄的理論。
被祈禱驅退
Volume 1 結尾，當 Henry 被跟蹤房屋的實體攻擊時，他開始祈禱——怪物立刻逃離。這或許解釋了「Fallen Angels」之名，並暗示一種遊戲內廣播從未提及的弱點。小鎮顯然尚未知曉這一點。
Henry 的關聯
Henry 第 3 章露營之旅的高燒夢境暗示，其父母在匆忙離開前一直在追蹤 Fallen Angels。夢境畫面中的裝備表明有記錄的目擊，可能與 VHS 中的「囚犯」有關。Henry 也許在 Volume 1 之前就已遭遇 Fallen Angels——而那輛路過汽車掉落的機密資料夾，可能是故意留給他的。
